Bheeshma Review

Nithiin's recent films 'LIE', 'Chal Mohan Ranga', 'Srinivasa Kalyanam' turned out to be flops at the box office forcing Nithiin to take a short break from films. He has taken his time for introspection and lined up multiple projects. 'Bheeshma' is the first one among them. He has pinned a lot of hopes on the success of this film. On the other hand, director Venky Kudumula's situation is different. Coming from Trivikram's school, Venky scored a hit with his debut film 'Chalo'. 'Bheeshma' is his second film and he has chosen Rom-Com again. 'Bheeshma' team succeeded in creating hype for the movie with interesting promos. Will Nithiin get relief with Bheeshma? Many Tollywood directors failed in their second attempts and it has become a negative sentiment. Will Venky Kudumula overcome the 'second film' sentiment? Let us have a look.

Bheeshma (Nithiin) is a jobless youngster and he is on a mission to find a girlfriend. Meanwhile, the CEO of Bheeshma Organics, Bheeshma(Anant Nag) who was searching for a suitable candidate chooses Nithiin as the Operational CEO. The condition is that Nithiin has to prove his capability in a month. The love track with Chaitra(Rashmika) runs simultaneously while he is busy proving his mettle as a CEO. Nithiin has to fight with the villain Raghavan(Jisshu Sen Gupta), the owner of rival company, in order to become a successful CEO. Can Nithiin prove his caliber as CEO, Can he succeed in his love story? The rest revolves around these two things.

Nithiin is an experienced actor and pulled the character off comfortably. His performance is good and he looked handsome. Rashmika is perfect for the role of Chaitra. Jisshu Sen Gupta looked good as the villain. Other actors like Vennela Kishore, Raghubabu, Sampath, Naresh, and Sudhakar did their job well.

Venky Kudumula has chosen a thin storyline for his romantic drama and tried to make it engaging by adding the required commercial elements. There is no strong point in the film and there are a few dull moments but Venky is successful in making it a passable entertainer.

Music director Mahati Swara Sagar has done a decent job with his music. Background score is good and a couple of songs grab the attention of the audience. Sai Sriram's cinematography suits the theme. The production values of Sithara Entertainments are good.

Wafer-thin storyline
Dull moments here and there
Cliched narrative

Though the story is thin, the director tried to make it interesting by incorporating a good dose of clean comedy. Right from the lead pair, all the actors did their job well to make it a decent watch. The dialogues are also worth mentioning. But the films like Maharshi, Ala Vaikunthapuramlo and Agnyaathavaasi keep striking the minds while watching this. We can say that Bheeshma offers nothing new but entertains.
