TDP MLA’s open letter nails Naidu
Three days after meeting chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP Guntur West MLA Maddali Giridhara Rao wrote an open letter to former chief minister and party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday.
Maddali Giridhar blamed the TDP chief for adopting caste-based politics in the party and victimizing non-Kamma leaders. While justifying his meeting with the chief minister to seek funds for his constituency development, the TDP MLA questioned the party chief for appointing another leader as the constituency incharge without information.
He questioned Chandrababu Naidu for not nominating party incharges for Sathenapalli, which was earlier represented by Kodela Sivaprasada Rao and is vacant now, but appointing an incharge for Guntur West, which is represented by him.
Giri accused Chandrababu Naidu of supporting his own caste leaders in the party whether the party is in power or opposition. He said that the party Kamma leaders were dominating the rest of the leaders everywhere and it was clearly seen in Guntur West.
“Late N T Rama Rao said society is temple (samajame devalayam), but you (Naidu) are following caste as temple (samajika vargame devalayam),” Giri said in his letter. He also questioned the TDP chief for not responding to the statements of the party MLAs from Visakhapatnam who welcomed the executive capital in the port city.
