TDP Cadre in cross roads over capital issue
The opposition TDP leaders are in cross roads over the capital issue and they are not in a position to express their views and opinions in favor the proposed administrative capital at Vizag. Of course, the leaders of Vizianagaram are speaking with media on behalf of party and denying the decision taken by the government to set up the executive capital at Vizag but in private conversations they are accepting the move and expressing their interest and supporting this decision.
On the otherside the TDP leaders in Vizag city along with Sri Bharat, who was defeated as MP on behalf TDP and four MLAs like Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Ganababu also welcomed the YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s decision and they stated that would be a great opportunity to the backward North Andhra and it would accelerate the all round development to this region. But the leaders in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam are in confusion and dare not to express their opinions in favor of Vizag.
Recently District president of Vizianagaram M.Chinnam Naidu, former MP P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju, MLC D.Jagadish, Former MLA K.Appala Naidu have spoke to media and blamed and opposed the decision of government and demanded to continue the capital at Amaravathi only.
But in the private conversations they say that why should we oppose the capital in our region, So far the capital and high courts are far away from our North Andhra districts and we need to travel more than 15 hours to reach there. Now the administrative capital is coming to us. This move would be definitely helps the city to develop more in future and the state also would have a readymade capital. Even this move would help to attract some more IT sector and some other firms here.
Out educated youth would get jobs here. But the highcommand of our party is instructing us to oppose the governments’ decision. So we are helpless in this aspect.’ They say. Even the leaders in Srikakulam like K.Atchennaidu, Rammohan Naidu also not opening their lips in favor of Visakhapatnam.
