Finally the country's largest MNC has expressed it's interest to set up an office in Visakhapatnam. State IT department chief secretary Kona Shashidhar also stated that the minister had already held meetings with TCS representatives in Bangalore last September. He also opined that the minister had held another discussion in Nagpur to which TCS representatives responded positively to open its services in Visakhapatnam.
The minister is likely to meet the officials of the company's head office in Mumbai to invite them to Visakhapatnam. Actually the minister had to participate in the meeting at Nagapur with TCS delegates but he could not attend it as he has to attend the high power committee comprising some ministers here. If the meeting is fruitful, the bigwigs of TCS would visit Vizag and the process will be started.
The government has prepared a plan and draft to attract the investments in software sector which would ease the rules and norms . If it's approved by the chief minister YS Jagan mohan Reddy, it would give good results.'he said.
