Sops for farmers of Amaravathi - YSRCP government took a broad step
The government led by YSR Congress party has taken a good step to console the farmers, who gave their lands for capital Amaravathi. On Monday the AP assembly has passed three bills ti set up secretariat at Visakhapatnam and assembly and Rajbhavan at Amaravathi and high court at Kurnool. Later the government has taken some favorable decisions towards farmers and increased their annuity amount and the tenure also.
Botsa Satyanarayana, the minister for municipal administration and urban development stated that new body Amaravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority (AMRDA) would be floated. The new body would taken care of the all the agreements and made between the farmers and previous government. Botsa said people who gave their lands to the government under land pooling scheme would continue to get the benefits being given to them and even the present government would increase the amount. The farmers who gave their assign lands also would be given the developed plots and the other benefits too.
The annuity amount of Rs 30,000-Rs 50,000 per acre being given to the farmers would be continued and the duration has been increased from 10 years to 15 years. This is a decision taken by the government is much favorable towards farmers. They can get the annuity amount 5 years more than the previous agreement. Apart from this the annuity amount also increased by Rs.5,000 for wet lands and Rs.10000 for dry lands Even the Rythu koolies also would get increased pension amount from Rs.2500 to Rs.5000 for 15 years.
