SC judgment favors - Line cleared for distribution of house sites
The verdict delivered by the supreme court of India has favored the state government in one aspect . The role back of code of conduct and clearing the line to execute the welfare and development and welfare schemes in the state of Andhra Pradesh is a good sign for the government.
Actually the chief minister of Andhrapradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy determined to provide the house sites to all the poor and home less people in the state on Ugadi. But meanwhile the election code of conduct has come into force and the scheme was inevitably put on hold.
The district administrations were told previously to acquire the government lands and develop them as house sites to be distributed all over the state on Ugadi. So far around 25 Lakhs of benificiaries were identified and land development and marking of house sites was in full swing. But the code of conduct of local bodies elections has forced to stop all the works.
Now the supreme court has cleared the obstruction of code of conduct and stated that all the welfare schemes can be implemented as usually and the code of conduct again can impose just four weeks prior to the commencement of elections. Massive house site distribution scheme is a brain child of the chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and he frequently told the district collectors to undertake the program as prestigious and select the beneficiaries with out any flaws and political interventions. Now this prestigious housing scheme to be completed without any obstructions by Ugadi, as planned by the chief minister.
