There is nothing to speak on Amaravathi
We are committed for equal development for all areas

YS Jagan speaks to national media

The Chief minister of Andhrapradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy alleged that former CM N.Chandrababu Naidu is working only to protect his henchmen, especially political barons and investors. Jagan alleged that the previous TDP government has considered the capital Amaravathi as a real estate venture and a business opportunity for the big wigs of that party and he claimed that his government is working to re-construct the state by giving equal priority to all areas by decentralizing the administration set up. He spoke to a national media and expressed his views deliberately. YS Jagan N Chandrababu Naidu of working and concentrating only on Amaravati, ignoring all other people centric issues.

Jagan was reacting to a question from a national media reporter as to why he was not asking for any cooperation from Naidu on taking crucial decisions, while his father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy used to give due respect to his political rivals. “What cooperation are you referring to? After March, he has not set foot in Andhra while the state is battling the pandemic,” Jagan fumed. Jagan blamed that Naidu and his henchmen are confined only to protect their personnel interests and investments at Amaravathi. As of now the issue of Amaravathi is closed and its not a debatable and discussing issue.’ he said. He said his government had said time and again that it was for decentralised development. “There is no way we can consider one single place for development just because you and your colleagues purchased land there,” the chief minister said. Even the Sivaramakrishna committee also emphasised on decentralization but not to dump the all developmental activities at a single destination.

The health infrastructure is abnormally improved in the past six months. 4124 intensive care units and 17,232 Non-ICU beds, 17,161 general beds, 1620 ventilators are provided to fight with Covid. The state had Rs. 1.17 Crores of debts by the time of formation of this new state but it was escalated to Rs.3 Crores by the time step down of Chandrababu Naidu. We have been clearing the pending bills of various sectors which remains unpaid by Chandrababu regime. We are strong in Andhrapradesh and fourth biggest parliamentary party in the country. So we are committed for the development of Andhrapradesh ‘ he said.
