Narendra Modi, who is second time prime minister of India is seems to be in unbeatable position and he has more chances to be the PM again. India Today-Karvy has conducted a survey on Mood of the nation(MOTN) and revealed the facts they found in the nation wide survey. It stated that Modi is the top choice of the public of the nation for next PM post. Around 66 per cent of the people want Modi as the next PM in the coming elections while it was a distant 8 per cent for Rahul Gandhi and five per cent for Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, BahujanSamaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav also were considered for the prime minister post but none of them could attain the choice of the public. The agency conducted the survey between 15-27 July and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telephonic interviews were conducted using a standard structured questionnaire. It was also translated into regional languages. Around 67 per cent of the samples were taken in rural areas and 33 per cent in urban areas spread across 97 parliamentary constituencies and 194 assembly constituencies in 19 states.
