The nation is facing big scarcity of ventilators and masks amid the raising of Covid-19 cases. The state goverenments are increasing the facilities like providing beds, isolation wards but they are facing scarcity of ventilators to provide artificial breathing facilit the Maruti Suzuki india understood the situation in the country and initiated to produce ventilators and masks supply all over India in its automobile manufacturing units.
An arrangement with an existing approved manufacturer of ventilators has also been made to manufacture 10,000 ventilators per month.
This comes after the government reached out to Maruti Suzuki India asking the company to make more ventilators. The company has now initiated the process and tied up with another company (AgVa Healthcare) and roped in its joint venture partners for the same.
AgVa Healthcare would be responsible for the technology, performance and other matters related to all the ventilators produced and sold by them while Maruti Suzuki India Limited will use its suppliers to produce the required volume of components and use its experience and knowledge to upgrade systems for the production and quality control of higher volumes.
The company will also help, to a required extent, in arranging the finance and obtaining all permissions and approvals required to enable the higher production.
