Jagan repeats Modi’s call
AP chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy had repeated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to the people to light candles on Sunday night to show solidarity and togetherness in the corona crisis.
The chief minister, during his address to the people, the other day, emphasised the need to stay together in the fight against the epidemic and strengthen the hands of those who have been working for virus victims.
He wanted people to switch off the lights and light candles as called by the prime minister to spread the message that the nation is united and together in the hour of crisis. It is a matter of a few minutes to express our solidarity and brotherhood, the chief minister said.
The chief minister sought peoples’ support to the police, revenue, medical and sanitation teams who have been fully engaged in the service of the epidemic since the day one.
Jaganmohan Reddy said that the police have been on the roads enforcing the lockdown and preventing the mass gatherings while the medical teams have been in the hospitals meeting the health emergency requirements. The staff of the sanitation department too were on the roads keeping them clean, he said.
He wanted people to applaud the services of these teams in the hours of crisis, while the people are sitting at home safe.
