Rs.19.73 crores for millennium towers
The Andhra Pradesh government is taking steps on war foot base to complete the pending works at Vizag and to shift the secretariat as soon as possible. As a part of it, the government has released Rs.19.73 crores to the millennium towers at Vizag , in which the proposed secretariat is expected to shift here. The government has released the funds to information technology department to complete the Tower-B here . The important offices including secretariat is likely to be shifted here and CBCID is expected to come up near by Madhurawada , which is outskirts of this city.
The government is giving top priority to provide all the infrastructure at the proposed executive capital at Vizag and releasing funds to meet the expenditure. The millennium towers would be the secretariat from where the chief secretary to the government and , head of the departments would deliver their duties. The district collector Vinay Chand, principle secretary of CMO , Pravin Prakash have already visited the place and observed the buildings there. Pravin Prakash had worked at Vizag as collector and he has good command over geographical areas of Vizag.
The government is giving top priority to shift the secretariat as soon as possible as possible. If everything goes right the secretariat would start functioning at Vizag from Ugadi. On the otherside, the shifting of high court to Kurnool is also going rapidly and as a part of it, already the government has issued orders to shift vigilance commissioner office to Kurnool.
