BJP, TDP disappointed with CBI investigation ?
Both Telugu Desam and BJP are seem to be disappointed with the decision taken by the AP state government by forwarding the Chariot burning incident at Antarvedi to Central bureau of Investigation. Actually the both TDP, BJP including Janasena are in a plan to attain some political mileage from this incident. They wanted to instigate the public and to ignite the emotions by making some comments and statements on social media, Yellow media including television channels. But the AP government has taken a bold decision by handling over the case to CBI and the government has forced to shut the mouths of the rest of the parties. The BJP leaders, who have cried in loud over the chariot burning issue but now they are crying to receive the step taken by the AP government. BJP state president SomuVeerraju stated it would have been better if the government ordered a judicial probe, rather than the CBI probe, into Antarvedi incident.
Another BJP leader DaggubatiPurandeshwari also wanted a judicial inquiry into the incident. Interestingly, BJP’s alliance partner Jana Sena chief PawanKalyan welcomed the CBI inquiry. However, BJP leaders are of the view that ordering a CBI probe into Antarvedi was only a delaying and diversionary tactic of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government to control the protests by the Hindu groups like Bhajarangdal. According to them, the CBI investigation is a time-consuming process and it would take several years for the probe, let alone filing the final charge sheet in the cases. There have been several cases handed over to the CBI, but none of them have been cleared so far. While the CBI case against Jagan himself is yet to cross the trial stage, similar CBI investigations into Viveka murder case, KodiKathi case, Ayesha Meera case, Dr Sudhakar torturing case are going on at snails walk. Now chariot incident also would take some more time to be undertaken by the CBI. So the BJP, TDP, Janasena are completely disappointed with this.
