B C G had finally submitted its report
The Boston Consulting Group had finally submitted its report on the capital to chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy at the Velagapudi secretariat on Friday. The report was earlier expected sometime in December third week, but was delayed due to unknown reasons.
The representatives of the Boston Consulting Group have met the chief minister and formally handed over the report. The chief minister held a short discussion with the report from the representatives before passing it on to the high level committee.
The State government had already appointed a high level committee headed by finance minister Buggana Rajendranath in which 10 Ministers and five IAS officers are members. Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney is the member-secretary of the high level committee.
The committee had also fixed January 6 for its first meeting to study the two reports on the capital issue. An expert committee headed by retired IAS officer G N Rao had already submitted its report, while the Boston Group report was submitted on Friday.
The high level committee would also make its presentation to the State cabinet on January 8. It is learned that the government is in favour of convening a special session of the Assembly in the first week of February to discuss the reports of the two committees and the recommendations of the high level committee.
