ACB arrests Atchennaidu
ESI teams arrest him in his village Nimmada
This can be termed as major jolt to Telugu Desam as the deputy floor leader of the party Atchenaidu was arrested by the Anti corruption bureau teams in the early morning of Friday in his village Nimmada of Srikakulam district. The ACB has framed charges on him that Tekkali MLA is involved in Rs.200 crores worth corruption in the process of procuring medicines, medical equipment to the ESI hospitals during TDP regime.
A team led by TSRK Prasad, ACB DSP from Vijayawada and issued the warrant to him before taking him into custody. Later he was shifted to ACB court Visakhapatnam. He was charged with misuse of funds under the Employees state insurance corporation schemes during his regime as minister for labour. The ACB officials said that they have arrest warrant. ACB claims about Rs 150 crore excess payment was made in purchase of medicines. TDP condemned arrest and decided to take recourse to legal action.He was arrested under sections 13 (1), (C), (D), read with 13 (2) of PC Act 1988, 13 (1) (G) read with 13 (2) of PC Amendment Act, 2018, sections 408, 420, 120 -13 of IPC of ACB. In the wake of ACB sleuths and arrest of Atchainnaidu tension prevailing at his native village Nimmada in Kotabommalimandal under Tekkali assembly segment. Police force deployed to prevent any untoward incidents.
