Mohan Lal Ignores Power Of Telugu?
The success of the 'Bahubali' franchise inspired several filmmakers across India to make films with the pan-Indian appeal. To cross the language barriers, the filmmakers are choosing actors from various industries. Director Priyadarshan is doing the same now. He is coming up with a historical epic war film 'Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham' starring Mohan Lal.
The makers are planning to release the film in multiple languages including Telugu. Telugu version 'Marakkar: Arabia Samudra Simham' trailer was launched by Megastar Chiranjeevi recently. The trailer looks good and it is receiving good applause from the audience. Surprisingly, some Telugu netizens are not happy with the makers and they are expressing their dissatisfaction openly on social media platforms.
The makers took very good care of casting to give the film pan-Indian touch. They have roped in actors like Arjun Sarja(Kannada), Prabhu(Tamil), Suniel Shetty(Hindi), etc. Several other Tamil actors were also roped in the film. Being a Malayalam film it has plenty of Malayalam actors as well. But there is no single Telugu actor in 'Marakkar'. Netizens are seriously upset about ignoring Telugu actors. They are questioning why Mohan Lal didn't take any Telugu actors? He wants to capture the Telugu market but there is no representation of Telugu actors in the movie.
They are saying that Rajamouli tried to strike a fine balance in the casting of Baahubali & RRR and he made sure that every major film industry has its representation. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi followed the same formula for 'Sye Raa'. Somehow, Mohan Lal ignored Telugu actors for his film and the netizens are pointing the same.
