The name Sonu Sood needs no introduction. He is one of the popular villains in Tollywood. He acted in all the South languages and appeared in Bollywood flicks as well. When we talk about Telugu films, the majority of roles he played are negative. Surprisingly, this reel life villain is exactly opposite in the real life. The positive side of Sonu Sood came out during the Covid-19 crisis.
India is under 21-days lockdown till April 14. A few states in the country have extended the lockdown to the month-end already. Daily wage laborers are deprived of work due to the lockdown. Though government is providing food and other essentials to the needy, there is much more to be done. On the other hand, healthcare workers, sanitary workers, police personnel are risking their lives in their duty. Moved by the situation Sonu Sood came forward to do his bit in the metropolitan city of Mumbai.
Sonu Sood is providing free food for nearly 45,000 people everyday in Andheri, Bandra, Jogeswari and Juhu areas in Mumbai. He has taken up this programme in collaboration with Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Sonu revealed that he will continue the free meal distribution till the time lockdown restrictions are lifted.
Apart from the supply of free food to the needy people, he is doing another great work. Sonu owns a hotel in Juhu area which is a six floor building. He has given it to the healthcare staff like doctors, nurses and other hospital staff free of cost. He is bearing the expenses of hotel staff and providing free service to healthcare workers in these tough times.
